Patrice "Sissy" Beasley passed away on December 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous year-long battle with illness. Sissy fought with unwavering strength and determination until the very end, never giving up.
Before her illness, Sissy was a valued member of the Providence Public School System, where she worked as a Senior Administrative Assistant at several schools. She had a natural gift for connecting with children, who adored her in return. During her time there, she also built lasting friendships that brought joy and meaning to her life.
Sissy had a passion for cooking and delighted many with her culinary talents. One of her most requested specialties was her famous fried mushrooms, loved by all who had the privilege to taste them.
Above all, Sissy cherished her family and friends. Known for her generous spirit and caring heart, she was always there to lend a hand or share a kind word. Fiercely outspoken when she needed to be, she had a feisty side that made her unforgettable.
Sissy is survived by her beloved mother, Bernice "Chee Chee" Beasley, and her sisters, Tracie Beasley-Mediavilla (Rogelio) of Providence and Danet Beasley (Lessie) of Camp Springs, MD. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, with a particularly close bond to Maria and Justin, whom she helped raise. Her great-nieces Kennedy, Harmonie, Kendall, Karter and great-nephews Jayce and Kaleb, were the lights of her life and held a special place in her heart.
She is preceded in death by her father, Vernard "Bubby" Beasley; her brothers, Vernard "Peter" Beasley II and Michael Beasley(Annette); her maternal grandparents, Harold and Mabel Hill; and her paternal grandparents, Leroy and Ethel Beasley.
Sissy is also survived by a host of loving cousins and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Sissy’s vibrant personality, generosity, and boundless love for those around her will be deeply missed by many.
